Eastern Pender County Pop Warner Association offers a Non-Competitive Cheerleading to girls ages 5 - 9 for Flag, Tiny-Mite and Mitey-Mite football divisions. Competitive Cheerleading is offered to girls ages 8 - 15 for Junior Pee Wee, Pee Wee, and Midget divisions. Girls will be placed on a team based on their age, experience, and total number of registrants.
Cheerleaders at the Flag, Tiny-Mite and Mitey-Mite divisions will not participate in competitions, but will participate in an exhibition with other area cheer teams in Coastal Pop Warner.
Cheerleaders in the Junior Pee Wee, Pee Wee and Midget Divisions will compete at the Coastal Pop Warner level for an opportunity to compete in regional and national competitions. |

In 2008, EPCPWA's Midget and Pee Wee squads took first place at the local and regional levels. The Jr. Pee Wee team won 2nd place at both local and regional competitions.
Our Mitey-Mite and Flag teams also had an opportunity to perform at a local exhibition. They both did an outstanding job on their routines.

Cheerleading teams are broken down in the following age divisions: Flag & Tiny-Mite (5, 6, 7); Mitey-Mite (7, 8, 9); Junior Pee Wee (8, 9, 10, 11); Pee Wee (9, 10, 11, 12); and Midget (11 - 15.) |
PRACTICES
Squad placement and cheerleading practices are held at Kiwanis Park in Hampstead, NC. Practices will be from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. Cheerleaders should wear shorts, t-shirts and athletic shoes to practice. No jewelry. No nail polish. Always bring a towel to practice. Water will be provided.

Jr. Pee Wee, Pee Wee & Midget - Mon., Tues. & Thurs.
UNIFORMS
Uniforms will be provided to cheerleaders; however, cheerleaders will be responsible for purchasing their hair bows, briefs, and shoes. Cheerleaders are fitted for their uniforms and distributed prior to the first season game. All clean uniforms must be returned at the end of the season.
GAMES
All regularly-schedule games will be played on Saturdays beginning in August (actual date TBD) at Ogden Park in Wilmington. The regular season runs through October. Schedules for all divisions wlil be posted upon receipt from Coastal Pop Warner.
Teams in the Junior Pee Wee division and older are eligible to compete in post-season competition based on their records. Post-season play can run through Thanksgiving. Cheerleaders must accompany their teams to all games.
COMPETITIONS
The Coastal Pop Warner competition and exhibition will be held at New Hanover High School in Brogden Hall in October (actual date TBD). Winning teams will advance to the Regional compention in Charlotte on Thanksgiving weekend to compete for an opportunity to go to the national competition in Disney World. The national competition is usually held in December.
RULES
All cheerleaders and their parents must read and sign a copy of the 2009 Participant Contract and Parental Consent Form before participating in Eastern Pender County Pop Warner Assocation. These rules are designed for the safety and fair treament of all cheerleaders.
